The
agriculture in Morocco is an important branch of economy of
the country where the functional agricultural surface of which
is estimated at approximately 95 000 km ². The main agricultural
productions of the country are represented in cereal (wheat,
barley and corn), the sugar beet, oranges, grapes, vegetables,
tomatoes, olives, hemp and the breeding. The first zone of production
of scoops of the country is the region of Souss in Souss-Massa-Drâa,
which produces 685 000 tons of vegetables, among which 95 %
of the national export of tomatoes, as well as 660 000 tons
of Citrus fruits, of which half for the export.
